Seattle

This past weekend, we took a little trip to Seattle.  We were only there for 2 days, but we squeezed in as much as we could while we were there.

We visited Pike Place Market, which was a scant few blocks from our hotel.  They have tons of interesting things to see...fish...squid throwing, anyone?  And, most of all--lots of delicious food.

Here is a random sampling from our little trip.

Chowder sampler from Pike Place Chowder, my favorite was the seared scallop chowder.

Towel swans at our hotel

The Moore Hotel, a very old hotel that has been recently renovated.  We stayed in a suite, which was very much like having a little apartment right in the middle of downtown Seattle.
 Piroshky, Piroshky...Russian for "absolutely delicious".

Clark's favorite, the fresh fruit from the market.
 The bag says it all.

Rainer cherries--my favorite--as fresh as they get.

A Napoleon from Le Panier

The pig at Pike Place Market
My little bundle all bundled up.

We rode the monorail to see the Space Needle

Puget Sound

 And what's Seattle without coffee?

We had a good time in Seattle.  Was it dreary and did it rain?  Yes.  But it was the Pacific Northwest & we definitely enjoyed our visit.
