Brandy, I've often wondered how Clark is doing and today Robin shared this link with me. I've spent the last couple of hours catching up. I've laughed, I've cried and I have to say I have so much respect and admiration for you and Jeramy! I'm a firm believer that God only gives special kids to special parents. If we had had a closer relationshhip with Him when Cord was born, things might have been quite different. Not necessarily with his development but with our relationship and how we handled everything. So having said that, I am very glad that you rely so heavily on God through everything. When I see Clark's sweet little face, I feel like I'm in a time warp, zapped right back to when Cord was a baby. While the circumstances, diagnosis and prognosis are quite different, that "every tiny bit of progress is a huge milestone" feeling is the same. Like Clark, Cord was in the hospital many times in the first couple of years of his life, then things kind of slowed down....improved. Back then, I didn't have all the fancy supplements & things that you do today, so that's much better for Clark! God only knows what the future holds for your sweet son, but with all the prayers constantly going out on his (and your) behalf, I'm confident that he will grow up happy & healthy! Oh and btw, Cord started school when he was 3. He'd hop out of the pickup with his tiny little backpack on & run to the teachers, never even looking back! Separation anxiety? Yes, I had it bad, but not Cord. LOL God bless you all. Love, Theresa
